BJP's Biren Singh to be new Manipur Chief Minister

BJP's Nongthombam Biren Singh was on Monday elected as the legislature party leader in Manipur and will meet Governor Najma Heptulla to stake claim to form the government, the BJP announced here.

Biren Singh, MLA from Heingang Constituency, will be the Bharatiya Janata Party's first Chief Minister in the state.
