Chhattisgarh Congress 'yatra' exposes internal discontent

Congress' crucial "Kalash" yatra got off Thursday afternoon but state's prominent leader and former chief minister Ajit Jogi was missing from the scene.

In an overt signal to ride sympathy wave in the November state polls, Congress party announced to launch the yatra carrying the soil from the Darbha ghats in Bastar where its' senior Congress were killed in Naxal ambush on May 25. Besides State President Nandkumar Patel, senior leaders Vidyacharan Shukla, Mahendra Karma and 27 others were killed.

The yatra would start from three places and the first one was got off Thursday afternoon from Rajim---the pocket where late Shukla had considerable sway.
