Also criticised Centre's decision to introduce GST, and termed it as an attempt to lay hands on the commercial tax resources

Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa came down heavily on the Centre with respect to a 20 per cent cut in the agreed Union Budget allocation to the state. "What would the state have to do after spending money on various projects and those that are being planned. The Centre's budgetary allocations should have credibility," said Jayalalithaa.

She also criticised Centre's decision to introduce GST, and termed it as an attempt to lay hands on the commercial tax resources, which form a major portion of revenue to states.
