The winter session of the Tamil Nadu assembly will begin Oct 23, a government notification announced Monday.
According to the notification, Governor K.Rosaiah has summoned the assembly to meet at 10 a.m. on Oct 23.
The session is expected to see a discussion on beach sand mining in the state which the Jayalalithaa govt had banned recently. It has also set up a committee to go into the issue and submit a report.
