36 people fall ill after eating prasad

The people after eating the prasad comprising grams and sweets in Derkuri village complained of nausea, vomiting and stomach cramps, official sources said.

The people, including six children and 14 women, were admitted to the Jorhat Medical College Hospital and eight to a private hospital.

The condition of eight persons was stated to be critical, doctors at the Jorhat Medical College Hospital said.
