'Hawan yagna' pleases rain God!

"Hawan was started today morning at 7:30 AM at Ishan Institute of Management Technology campus and finished at 10:00 AM. After this 'Hawan' it started raining heavily and weather became pleasant in the city," D K Garg, chairman of the institute said.

The 'Hawan Yagya' was performed on the guidelines of holy scripture of 'Samaveda' under the direction of spiritual gurus, Garg said.

"The ingredients used in this 'Hawan' were collected from the forests as per spiritual gurus guidance," he said.

City residents confirmed that there was rain from 10:15 AM which lasted for an hour, but some said it was a mere coincidence.
