A man was killed and 11 persons were injured when the bus they were travelling in was hit by a speeding truck in the Hapur Chungi area here, police said today.
The accident occurred last night when the bus was heading towards Delhi from Almora, SP (City) Aakash Tomar said, adding around 12 persons were injured in the mishap.
Critically injured Naamdhari Mittal (72) of Dilshad Garden was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, he said.
A case has been registered and the driver of the truck has been arrested, Tomar added.
