1 killed, 16 hurt in bus-milk tanker collision

A person was killed and 16 other passengers were injured when their bus rammed into a milk tanker on Agra-Mumbai road here today, police said.

The accident took place near Pachore when the Indore-bound private bus collided with the milk tanker coming from the opposite direction, police inspector Sunil Sharma said.

32-year-old bus cleaner Kalu Mewade died enroute to hospital. The injured persons were admitted to a primary health centre at Pachore, he said.

The bus driver fled from the spot after the mishap, police said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard and efforts are on to nab the driver.
