1 killed, 4 injured as car falls into gorge

A woman was killed and four members of the same family were injured when their car fell into a deep gorge in the district, an official said today.

The car fell into an 80-feet deep gorge near Kulhad, killing a 57-year-old woman on the spot, SDRF in-charge Gabbar Singh Negi said.

The family from Mayur Vihar area in Delhi was going in their own car to Mayalgaon to participate in a puja when the accident took place, he said.

Four people, including a seven-year-old girl, were injured in the accident.

They were rushed to a health centre in Satpuli from where they were referred to Kotdwar base hospital, Negi said.
