1 killed, 5 hurt in clash

One person was today killed and five others were injured as rival factions clashed over a minor issue in Dharauli village under Khandasad police station of Faizabad.

The dispute, which started over irrigating an agriculture field, saw one of the sides opening fire killing Rajesh Pandey (32), police said here.

Both the sides freely used lathis leading to injuries to five others of both the sides. They have been admitted to hospital, police said.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered and three people have been arrested. The gun used in the crime has been seized.
