Police today arrested 10 persons for allegedly indulging in cockfight and betting on it at a forest area near Khanpura village here and recovered around Rs 20,000 cash from them.
Acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted in a forest area near Khanpura village and 10 persons were arrested for allegedly betting on cockfight being held there, a police spokesperson said.
Two roosters and around Rs 20,000 in cash have been recovered from them, police said.
Hunt is on to nab the persons who managed to flee from the site during the raid, they added.
