11 arrested for protesting outside CM's house

Eleven people were arrested today for allegedly staging a protest rally outside West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's house at Kalighat here.

"They were protesting outside the residence of chief minister this evening to demand immediate arrest of Sudipta Sen, Chairman and Managing Director of Saradha Group, a non-banking financial company," Officer-in-charge of Kalighat police station Mahadeb Chakraborty said.

They were small investors in Saradha Group and were not getting their payment dues, he said.

Banerjee told journalists yesterday that Sen would be arrested for defaulting on payments to the small investors.
