A district court here today awarded life imprisonment to 11 persons for kidnapping and murdering a person eight years ago.
Madhepura District and Sessions Court judge Mazhar Imam found the 11 guilty in the case and awarded lifers to all of them.
Dharmendra Mandal was kidnapped in 2008 and was later killed at Hathiaundha village of Madhepura district.
All those awarded life sentence are residents of the village.
The accused, after killing the kidnapped man, had thrown his body in a bush.
