11 held in Meerut for cheating in SSC exam

Eleven candidates have been arrested by the special task force (STF) for allegedly cheating during the SSC examination here, police said today.

Pravin Kumar, Neeraj, Rakesh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Jagbir Singh, Pramod Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Vikram, Amit Kumar, Bhola Ram and Satender Kumar were apprehended yesterday from the examination centre during the search operation conducted by SSC and STF at the SD Inter College, Station In-charge Gajendra Pal Singh Yadav said.

"These people were carrying mobile phones which had answers saved in them," he said.

A case has been registered against the accused and they would be presented before the local court today, added Yadav.
