12 drown while bathing during Holi in Odisha

At least twelve persons drowned and seven others were missing while bathing in separate places in Odisha during Holi today, police sources said.

Three persons drowned in Bhubaneswar - two in the Kuakhia river and another at river Daya on the outskirts of the state capital, the sources said.

Another four drowned at Gadgadia Ghat on the river Mahanadi in Cuttack, they said.

One death each was also reported from Bari in Jajpur district, Anandpur in Keonjhar district, Brahmapur in Ganjam district, Khurda and Balasore districts, they added.

The Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force was searching for the seven persons who were reported missing.
