At least 12 persons were injured during an agitation by the students of a medical college here after 65 out of 111 third year students were declared failed, police said today.
The students indulged in breaking window panes of the classrooms and also pelted stones on the police when the cops tried to evict them from the premises of Muzaffarnagar Medical College, police said.
Twelve persons, including some policemen, were injured in the scuffle, a police officer said.

The protest started yesterday after the results of third year examination were declared and 65 out of 111 students were declared failed, the officer said.
Although the protest was continuing, the situation was brought under control following deployment of additional police force, he said.
Medical college sources said that the examination results were declared by the Meerut University in which only 41 students had managed to pass.
