12 injured as tempo turns turtle

Around twelve people received minor injuries when a tempo they were travelling in turned turtle in Kashmere Gate area of North Delhi today.

According to police, the driver allegedly lost control while taking a turn in front of the Kashmere Gate bus stand.

The incident took place around 8 PM.

Police have registered a case of negligence against the tempo driver who was arrested from the accident spot.

Few passers-by made a call to the police control room and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

"All the occupants of the tempo were discharged after first-aid treatment. None of them have received any serious injuries," said a police officer.
 

The occupants of the tempo were returning to their homes in Timarpur after Saraswati pooja celebrations.
