12 injured in clash over Ram Navami procession

At least 12 people were injured in a clash between two groups during Ram Navami procession at Pandu Chowk under Keradari police station, DIG (North Chhotanagpur range) Upendra Kumar said.

Several houses and three vehicles were torched during the clash that took place at around 8.30 PM at Keradari, about 40 km from Hazaribagh town.

All the injured were sent to Hazaribagh Sadar hospital, Kumar said.

Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar and Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Kumar Jha are camping at the spot with additional forces, the police said.
