12-year-old killed in celebratory firing

A 12-year-old boy was killed allegedly in celebratory firing after the village head elections in Khargaura Janub village in Ekauna area here, police said today.

The incident took place last evening when supporters of Shanti Devi, who won village head elections, were celebrating and Navneet (12) was killed in the firing, they said.

The police is probing the matter. No arrests have so far, police further said.
