13 injured as bus rams into electricity pole

Thirteen passengers were injured when a private bus carrying twenty five passengers rammed into an electricity pole at Tahliwal town in the district today, police said.
An eight-months-old child was among the thirteen injured and condition of five of them was stated to be critical, they said.
The ill-fated bus was on its way to Una when it hit a roadside live electricity pole, after the vehicle reportedly developed a snag and the driver lost control, police said.

The pole collapsed after the hit, but passengers had a narrow escape from being electrocuted as power supply got tripped due to a short circuit, they said.
The injured were admitted to a private hospital in Tahliwal and five of them were later shifted to the zonal hospital here, police said.
A case has been registered in Haroli police station and investigations are in progress, they added.
