13 injured in road mishap

Thirteen persons, including women and children, were injured in a collision between a pick up van and Magic jeep at state highway 77 near Rampuri college under Kursaila police station of Bihar's Katihar district today, a police officer said.

The vehicle was carrying pilgrims to Purnia from Janakpur dham of Nepal when the driver lost control over the vehicle and collided with a pick up van at state highway 77 near Rampur college, Kursaila Station House Officer (SHO) Anuj Kumar said.

All the injured persons have been admitted to Kursaila Prinary Health Centre (PHC) for treatment,the SHO said.

The driver managed to escape and both the vehicles have been seized, the SHO said.
