A 14-member team of climbers has scaled the 8,163-metre Mt Manaslu in Nepal, the world's eighth highest peak, officials said today.
The Seven Summit Manaslu Expedition led by Tunc Findik of Turkey reached the summit of the peak in the northern part of central Nepal yesterday.
The climbers who reached the peak included a Turkish national, four Chinese, two Japanese and seven Nepalese climbing guides, said officials of the Ministry of Tourism.
The team had begun its ascent on September 6.
