Altogether 147 answer scripts of mathematics of Madhyamik, the high school leaving examination conducted by the state Board, has been lost in Nadia district, the police said today.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the police were informed about the incident which occurred yesterday.
The examiner put the packets of scripts he got from the distribution centre here in four bags. He tied the bags in the rear of his motorbike and started for his home in Nakashipara along NH 34.

However, after reaching Dhubulia which is mid-way, the examiner found that one of the bags carrying 147 scripts was missing. He searched the road he had travelled but did not get it, police said.
Convenor in Nadia for Madhyamik Board Examinations Prasanta Kumar De said that there is an instruction from the Board to the examiners not to carry answer scripts on bike.
Police have been trying to find out the lost answer scripts, he said.
