15 cows run over by goods train

Fifteen cows were today killed when they were hit by a goods train at a railway crossing in Nai Sarai town, police said.

The train was on its way towards Guna from Bina around 6 AM this morning and the cows came on the track at a time when the train was supposed to cross it, police said.

Later, police, administration, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) workers reached the spot and cleared the track by removing carcasses of the dead animals.
