Sixteen cartons of country-made foreign liquor, which was smuggled from Haryana, were seized today and two alleged bootleggers were arrested in this connection.
SHO Haridayal Singh Yadav informed that a speeding Indica car was stopped at Delhi-UP border checkpost adjacent to a flyover for checking.
Police party found 16 cartons of Haryana-made liquor stashed inside the car.

The two bootleggers Monu and Gajendra, both belonging to Meerut, have been arrested and sent to jail, Yadav said, adding that their vehicle has been impounded.
During interrogation, the duo revealed that the liquor was supposed to be sold to their customers during Diwali eve, he added.
