Sixteen minor girls from
Jharkhand and Bihar, were rescued from a house in Lahdoli village here and a woman arrested in this regard, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, Babita was arrested for keeping the girls in illegal detention in the house without even informing the head of the village, ASI Ram Babu said.
The girls have been sent to childcare homes, he said, adding that the woman is being questioned behind her intention to keep the girls in confinement.
