16-year-old boy shot dead over family dispute

A teenager was shot dead by his relative over some family dispute in Rajasthan's Churu district, police said here today.

The incident occurred late last night in Rajgarh town.

Mohit (16) was studying in his room when the accused Surendra barged into the house and opened fire at him with a revolver. He died on the spot.

The boy's parents were not at home when the murder took place, police said, adding, a case has been registered against Surendra, his wife Rina and brother-in-law Sonu.

"Surendra's wife and brother-in-law have been accused of being involved in the crime by the victim's father. All of them are absconding," they said.
 

Police said that the matter was being probed to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
