17 injured as buses collide

At least 17 persons were injured when a Karnataka state-owned bus and an omni bus collided near Annur today.

The state-owned bus was coming to the city and the omni bus proceeding to Kerala from Karnataka, when the mishap occurred on Annur-Sathy Highway, police said.

Seventeen persons received minor injuries and were treated as outpatients at a nearby hospital.
