17 NC, PDP workers join Cong in JK

Seventeen workers of ruling National Conference (NC) and Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today joined Congress in Jammu and Kashmir.

They joined Congress at two different functions in Dooru and Gujjar Basti areas in Anantnag district in presence of the Minister for Tourism Gulam Ahmed Mir, who is local MLA of the area.

Mir welcomed their decision to join Congress and described it as "a right decision at the right time".
