A 17-year-old student, who was missing since Saturday, was found strangulated to death at Monna village, with police suspecting that he was sexually assaulted.
The body of Amit Kumar, a class tenth student, was found in a sugarcane field yesterday, Deputy Superintendent of Police D K Mittal said today.
It is suspected that he was sodomised before being murdered, police said, adding a case has been registered.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, they said, adding an investigation was on.
