175 kg of poppy husk seized
Police seized 175 kg of poppy husk and arrested an alleged drug smuggler in this connection here today.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Jasgeer Singh in Badhni Kalan area where he waiting for a customer to supply the contraband to him, SSP (Moga) Surjit Singh Grewal said.
He said 175 kg of poppy husk, kept in bags, were seized, adding Jasgeer tried to flee but was arrested.
