2 arrested for supplying arms

Two persons were arrested for allegedly supplying arms illegally near Nagla Kanchan area here.

Two motorcycle-borne persons fired upon a police party when the latter was carrying checking of vehicles, police said, adding the personnel had a narrow escape.

Following the incident, the duo, identified as Vishesh and Balram, both residents of Jitoli village in Kotwali Nidholikalan, were arrested and two country-made pistols were seized from their possession, they said.
