Two boys, drowned in a farm well in Andaankovil Puthur near here, police said.
The boys, both aged 11, had gone out to play last evening and did not return.
On a complaint from their parents, police started searching for them.
Police and Fire and Rescue service personnel retrieved the body of one of the boys from the deep well and the search was on for the other.
