2 held for paying bribe to govt officials

Two people were arrested for allegedly paying Rs 20 lakh as bribe to some government officials in Kota for approving an infrastructure project, an official said today.

Mahesh Meghani and Kamaljeet Ranawat were arrested last night for paying Rs 20 lakh as bribe to some officials at the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) in Kota, ACB DSP Tarun Kant Somani said.

A probe in the matter is underway, he said.
