2 held with 14 kg charas

Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police today arrested two people and seized 14 kg charas worth Rs 1.40 crore in international market.

On a tip off that smugglers were on their way to sell the contraband from Nepal in Uttar Pradesh, the STF team arrested two persons including a Nepali citizen in Kanpur, an STF release said.

They told the police that the consignment used to be brought by road from Nepal to Kanpur from where it was taken to different western UP districts.
