2 held with 22 stolen laptops

Two men, accused of stealing nearly two dozen laptops in Uttar Pradesh's Nagar district, were arrested on Tuesday, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, and Sachin were arrested on a service road near I in Greater Noida while they were en route on a two-wheeler to another location, they said.

As many as 22 laptops of various brands were recovered from their possession along with firearms. Their two-wheeler has also been impounded, the police said.

Ajay is a resident of Ghaziabad and Sachin hails from Bijnor, but has been living in the district for some time now, the police said.

A first information report (FIR) was registered at station under Sections 411, 414 and 482 of the Indian Penal Code. The arrested persons have been remanded in judicial custody, they added.
