2 held with Rs 1 lakh fake old notes

Two persons have been arrested after Rs one lakh in fake currency notes was seized from their possession in Sujapur here, police said today.

"The fake notes were that of demonetised Rs 500 notes, Malda Superintendent of Police Arnab Ghosh said.

The seizure was made last night and both the accused, residents of Bhagalpur in Bihar, were wanted in connection for several crimes," he said.

A motorcycle was also seized from the duo, Ghosh added.
