2 injured as part of under-construction building falls

Two persons sustained minor injuries as a portion of a under-construction two-storey building collapsed in city's eastern suburb Mankhurd today, an official said.

Confirming the incident, Disaster Control official of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said part of the structure collapsed at around 2.40 PM.

"Two persons sustained minor injuries in the incident, but they did not require hospitalisation," he said.

Fire brigade said the rescue operation was underway.
