2 injured in clash between Trinamool factions

Two persons were shot at and injured in a clash between two groups, both reportedly owing allegiance to the Trinamool Congress, at Chiranjibpur in East Midnapore district this evening triggering tension in the area ahead of tomorrow's panchayat poll results.

Police said the clash broke out following altercations between the two factions over the recent elections in the area.

The two were admitted to Tamluk Hospital with serious gun shot wounds.
