2 killed, 12 injured as two buses collide in Karnal

Two persons were today killed and twelve others injured after two buses collided on the national highway in Haryana's Karnal town, police said.

The accident occurred near the Nirmal Kutiya Chowk in Karnal today morning between two buses, involving a Haryana Rodways and a private bus, about 130 km from here, they said.

While the state-owned roadways bus was headed towards Delhi, the private luxury bus was coming from Delhi airport to Punjab, they said.

The injured were rushed to a hospital at Karnal, they said adding a case had been registered and the investigation is on in the matter.
