Two persons were killed and 22 others injured when a mini-truck carrying them overturned at Panihati in North 24 Parganas district today, the police said.
The accident occurred on Barrackpore Trunk Road when the passengers were returning from a musical soiree last night at Hatiara to Sodepur.
The mini-truck hit the road divider near the telephone exchange at Panihati and overturned killing 20-year-old Azir Khan and an 8-year-old child, the police said.
The injured have been admitted at various hospitals and nursing homes.
