Two persons were today killed and as many injured after their motorcycles were hit by a Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus near Kanchikacherla village in Krishna district, police said.
The mishap occurred this morning when four persons were travelling on two motorcycles from Nandigama to Vijayawada, said Sub-Inspector K Eeswara Rao of Kachikacherla police station.
An RTC bus hit both the motorcycles, killing two persons on the spot, he said.
The deceased were identified as GB Raju (45) and Srinu (44), who hailed from Vijayawada, Rao added.
The injured were admitted to a private hospital, Rao said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.
The bus driver was taken into custody and a probe was on, said the officer.
