Two alleged liquor smugglers were
nabbed and 10 cartons of illicit alcohol were seized from them, officials said today.
District Excise Department team intercepted car of Sumit and Sanjeev, residents of Faridabad, last night, and arrested them after finding smuggled foreign liquor in their possession, excise officer Kuldeep Yadav said.
The duo had used police logo on their car to dodge the excise and police teams, he said.
"On a tip off, excise inspector Upinder Singh along with other team members intercepted a car near Shashi Chowk. 10 cartons of smuggled foreign liquor were found. Car was having police logo on it," he said.
FIR has been lodged at sector 39 police station, Yadav said.
