Two fresh deaths due to Acute Encephalitis (AES) have been reported from north Bengal in the last 24 hours, a health official said today.
While one death was reported from South Dinajpur district, the other was from Darjeeling district, West Bengal Health Services Director Biswaranjan Satpathy told PTI.
The toll in the state since January this year, however, remained at 210, as the reason of two other deaths, earlier recorded as because of Encephalitis, were found to be due to some other reasons, he said.
"There are no reports of new cases from anywhere in the state," Satpathy said.
