2 narcotic smugglers held

Two narcotic smugglers were arrested after 1.6-kg of cannabis were allegedly seized from their possession.

On a tip-off, two persons were checked in Jewel area and the drug was recovered from the last evening, police said today.

The two accused were identified as Maroof Ahmed of Kulgam and Nazir Ahmed of Anantnag, they said, adding the matter is being probed further.
