2 security guards killed in attempt to loot bank

Two security guards were killed and an attempt was made to rob a cooperative bank here by unidentified men in city Kotwali area here, police said.

Deshraj (30) and Om Prakash (26), security guards at the district cooperative bank branch, were killed with sharp edged weapons late last night by unidentified persons who also broke the main gate, SP Abdul Hameed said.

A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
