In the second such incident in the last 48 hours, a 20-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide when he jumped before an approaching metro train at west Delhi's Nawada Metro station here this afternoon.
The incident hit train operations on the blue line for nearly 15 minutes.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Qadir. He was a resident of Mansaram Park in Uttam Nagar.

"He jumped before an approaching train on platform number 1 around 12.20 pm. The train was coming from Dwarka and going towards Rajiv Chowk. Train operations were hit for nearly 15 minutes following the incident," said a senior police official.
Qadir was standing on the edge of the platform when he suddenly jumped before the train before anybody could do anything. He was quickly rescued and rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, he added.
Police did not find any suicide note from the spot and will question his family to ascertain the reason behind his extreme step.
Qadir, who was a native of Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district, was a barber by profession and lived with his uncle in a rented accommodation. His uncle told police that he left the house saying that he was going out for work.
Yesterday, a 28-year-old man jumped in front of a train at Chttarpur Metro station in south Delhi. Police investigation revealed that he was suffering from depression.
