Nearly 200 kg of doda post (a kind of opium) was seized from a car in Rajasthan's Udaipur district, police said Tuesday.
The accused, who was driving the vehicle, did not stop at the check post near Jadoli Crossing on Udaipur-Sirohi National Highway on Monday night, they said.
A police team chased the vehicle but the accused managed to escape leaving the car behind, SHO Gogunda Police Station Bharat Yogi said.
He said nearly 200 kg of doda post of Rs 15 lakh market value was recovered from the car.
A case was registered against the unidentified car driver and investigation has been initiated in the matter, he added.
