Police today seized 200 illegal LPG cylinders with the arrest of three persons in the jungles of Banthla village in Loni area of the district, a senior official said.
District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma said that SDM, Loni, Jai Pal Singh along with police force raided a godown from where 200 illegal domestic LPG cylinders, one car, one pick up van, two motorcycles, and two cycles were seized.
The godown was taken on rent by one Leeley in the house of Ashok, he said, adding that Leeley was storing the huge cache of LPG cylinders without any license.
He used to sell these cylinders at exorbitant rates illegally to sweet shops, restaurants, hotels and needy buyers, the DM said.
Police have arrested Avneesh, Manoj, Ritesh from the spot while Ashok and Leeley managed to flee from the spot, the DM said.
