22-yr-old woman attempts suicide over sexual harassment in UP

A 22-year-old woman here allegedly attempted suicide after facing sexually harassment by a youth, police said today.

The woman tried to hang herself yesterday in her house in Shahpur town, after she was sexually harassed by a neighbour, a police official said.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital by her relatives who have also filed a complaint against the youth.

"The search for the accused is on," the official said.
